This is just a good way to present some numerical time series information about our federal budget deficit. The real kicker is what happens after year 2008, which is the last year in this clip. The 2009 budget deficit quadruples, and from then on, Medicare and Social Security bloat the deficit beyond measure, as Rob had pointed out in an earlier post.
