Graph of the day - Population of local counties

  1. This has interested me since Denny Dowd did his presentation in one of the faculty workshops. I live in the country seat of Johnson County, Cleburne. We have under 29,000 people, and we seem to hear conflicting reports as to whether we'll grow numerically in the next decade. I go back and forth as to whether that's a good thing for our city. I don't really want us to become just another suburb.

  2. I didn't realize you commute from Cleburne!

    What surprised me about this chart was just the recognition how much larger Dallas county is population-wise than the surrounding counties. I had thought that the population of DFW was a bit more evenly distributed, especially across the fast growing counties to the north and east of us.
