As Rob pointed out to us earlier, we should all know something about the currently unfunded liabilities of Medicare and Social Security; they number in trillions of dollars. But what does a trillion dollars look like, in tightly stacked $100 bill packets?
Pagetutor gives us a clue!
So what would the entire U.S. GNP look like?
ReplyDeleteTo get US GNP you would have to raise the stack in the bottom image 14 times higher.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, the resulting amount - US GNP of about 14 trillion USD - would then account for 25% of the total output of the entire world.
Very nice. Thank you.
